Freestyle Head Position: Don't Get it Wrong
The wrong head position in freestyle causes new and seasoned swimmers problems and whilst some know that something is wrong others don't even know they are doing it.
If your head position is too high then your body will be too low in the water, causing too much drag and making it hard to go any kind of distance.
If your head is too low then you are usually overreaching, having breathing difficulty etc. or all of the above.
This video outlines the correct head position for freestyle and gives a good demo of some of the faults that are caused without it. Even better it shows a number of variations of the correct head position and that is just great because we are all different.
