Games for Swimming Lessons: Jellyfish Wading
The students line up facing the finish line in this swimming game but a good distance away.

When "Go" is called the students start to wade slowly to the finish line.
When "Float" is called the students must Jellyfish float (face down in the water).
Alternately they can do a standard back float.
With the command "Go" called again the students begin to wade to the finish.
Make sure you do lots of "Float" commands!
First to the finish line (or which ever number you designate - I find making the second person to the finish to be the most fun) is the winner.
