This is another one of my games for swimming lessons. This water discovery game is only useful for the more confident (those who are actually starting to swim).
It can be useful to give the students a bit of a break from repetitive learn to swim processes.
Grabbing Ankles |
Students line up facing the wall or the instructor in about chest-deep water. Students take a deep breath and reach down and try to hold their ankles. They then walk to the wall (or the instructor) whilst holding on to their ankles. It's quite hard and a lot of fun.
