Swimming Lesson Ideas: Don't Just Teach Swimming Earn Trust
Here is one of my swimming Lesson ideas. When working with a child trying to teach them to swim, you have to earn their trust. Remember that this is a very new experience for them. New experiences for children are always very scary.

I know it seems a bit obvious but strangely it seems, when I am talking to some swim teacher this is not to them.
Encourage them and praise them "A Lot". You will get much further that way.
Don't push them more than a very little. If you push too much you could lose their trust and if you loose trust you will be fighting an uphill battle to teach them anything.
Trust has to be earned it is never taken for granted. But trust is also very fragile and takes very little to be broken.
Do what you say and say what you are going to do. Never say one thing and then do another. You will lose trust.
